Critique: Clocking Out by Reynaldo U.

So the first thing that hits me is that the title and producer information is drawn up as a mock motivational poster, which I love. I think it would be stronger if it was larger - or maybe if the other posters were smaller, so that it had more weight. I think they could have been spaced such that we only saw their edges, since motivational posters have such unique templates that they're easy to recognize (at least in my opinion). As well, I like the noose but I think it's a bit big for the overall image, and I'm not sure where it's supposed to be in the space: if it's close to us, maybe adding a shadow across the desk would be helpful (as well as more menacing and foreshadowy), but if it's supposed to be close to Reynaldo, it'd obviously have to be a little smaller.

I like how Reynaldo's smile doesn't reach his eyes, showing how dead-inside and "fake" the character is. I also like that one of the motivational posters reads "teamwork", since I know that the character gets his employees to focus-group him the best way to die. I'm fond of how the knife is placed since its point is right in the highlight on the desk: it shows how sharp it is without having to resort to cartoony sparkle effects. That being said, I think the bottle of pills is a bit too large (just imagine trying to swallow all those horse pills!) and the shotgun shells could have used even a little shadow to place them more in the space, similar to what the gun and knife have.
